Read a record’s Activity

Activity is the history of one record: who changed what, when, and through which part of Biosphere. It sits beside the record’s details on catalog items, contacts, locations, inventory items and levels, recipes, and sales and purchase orders, Projects, delivery items and shipping records.

What each record’s Activity includes

  • A catalog item: the item and each of its variants, including their stock sources and merges. A variant’s own view shows only that variant.
  • A contact: the contact and its addresses.
  • An inventory item: the item and every count, adjustment, correction, receipt, fulfillment and recipe run at each of its locations. An inventory level shows only that location.
  • A recipe: its saves and every run, with the stock each run used and made.
  • A sales order: the order, its lines, location choices, confirmation, fulfillments and cancellation.
  • A purchase order: the order, its lines, confirmation, receipts and cancellation.
  • A Project or delivery item: its edits, source decisions and relevant shipment or confirmed-count history. Child records retain their own scoped history.
  • Money and costs: recorded receipts, corrections, reviewed rates and cost decisions remain traceable through the relevant record and business audit.

Read an entry

Each entry is one line, newest first, such as “Mara Lin updated Online price on COAST-JADE-6”. Records named in the line are links. Point at an entry to see a short preview of what changed.

Select an entry’s time to open everything about it:

  • each changed field, before and after, with money in the currency of the time;
  • for stock, the quantity, the effective time and the reason;
  • When, By, Through — App, MCP, Scout, Job, Automation or System — and the record’s revision;
  • the imported file and View source for changes from an import, or Open Scout conversation when the action originated with a Scout proposal;
  • Recorded values, the entry exactly as stored.

Correct stock from Activity

On an inventory item or level, a count or adjustment entry has Correct in its details. See Adjust or correct stock.

What to know

  • Activity cannot be edited or deleted. A variant or inventory level narrows its parent record’s history to that child.
  • Source decisions may offer a reviewed reversal without deleting history; see Review source updates.
  • Who acted is named as a person, Scout, an import, or Biosphere for automatic work. A person who left your business shows as Former member.
  • When newer evidence for a field arrived later, the field shows Latest evidence with its time and source.
  • For changes across your whole business, open Audit log.
