Manage automatic client access
Customer access follows exact email ownership. A client company sees the current non-draft orders assigned to its confirmed customer emails, and Projects tagged to those customers. There is no per-order sharing step or business-wide portal setting.
Preview and invite
Open the Client portal section on a customer, order or Project. View as client previews the customer presentation. A Project preview shows the shared schedule without any client company’s own-order totals. Invite to client portal emails the current customer contact a confirmation link; it never joins the customer to your business team.
The panel shows automatic sharing without revealing whether an address has an account. Draft orders, hidden customers and customers without an active email do not show as shared. Once the client opens one of your business’s records, the panel can show that client company’s name and last visit. Support visits do not count as client visits.
An email request acknowledges your invitation; it does not guarantee delivery. Seller invitations share a limit of five emails to an address per day. Personal confirmation emails have a separate limit and cooldown, so seller invitations cannot use up a person’s confirmations.
A client sees its own order invoice and payment history. Project-wide budgets, costs, profit, internal notes, raw evidence and other customers’ financial information remain private. Put customer-facing instructions in Client note.
Hide or correct access
Hide a customer, sales order or Project to exclude it from the portal. Hiding an order also excludes its lines and shipments through Project and delivery pages. Showing it again restores access when the customer email still matches.
Correcting or removing a customer email, changing an order’s customer or removing a Project tag changes access on the next read. Exact email matching never merges customer records or grants access based on a company name.
Receiving access
Receiving requires an explicit Project warehouse grant. It is separate from customer order access and retains its own expiry and revocation. See warehouse receiving.
